Volkswagen of America, Inc. is the US sales arm of Volkswagen AG, one of Europe's largest automakers. The company sells Volkswagen and Audi cars through about 600 Volkswagen dealers and 260 AUDI dealerships in the US. It is the umbrella organization for Volkswagen and Audi. We import and market the Volkswagen and Audi vehicles, which are sold and serviced through a network of about 600 Volkswagon dealers and 260 Audi dealers. The Volkswagen and Audi vehicles sold in the United States and Canada are manufactured in Germany and Mexico. Currently, we are the top-selling European importer in North America, and have become the largest markets for the Volkswagen of America Group. 

Objectives:

  • The enjoyment and sharing goodwill and fellowship engendered by owning or showing interest in a Volkswagen car, and/or related memorabilia, and engaging in such social or other events as may be agreeable to the membership. 
  • Interchange the ideas and suggestions with other Volkswagen clubs throughout the world. 
  • Volkswagen of America Maintain the highest standards of restoration and operation by sharing and exchanging historical, technical, and mechanical information among the membership. 
  • We also own Volkswagen Credit, Inc., a captive financing company. Volkswagen Credit, Inc. provides competitive financial products and services to Volkswagen motors and Audi dealers and our customers in the United States and Canada through independent marketing teams, Volkswagen Credit and Audi Financial Services.

Terms Defined
  • MSRP: “Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price”. This is the actual price that is typically attached to the car via a sticker on the window.
  • Invoice: This is an invoice provided by the manufacturer that is not actual Base Cost. Invoices have a hidden fee or "Holdback" that equals a percentage of the MSRP or Invoice price.
  • Shipping: The fee charged for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from the manufacturer. This charge is to be passed on to the buyer without any markup.
  • Hold Back: This is a non-published pricing promotion (discount) that is given back to the dealer at the conclusion of a sale of a vehicle.
  • Final Cost: This is derived by adding shipping to the invoice amount and subtracting any rebates and hold back.
